This just means Marvel can make rapid-fire announcements about how GotG is selling SO WELL that they already had to go to 2nd and 3rd printings.

The more and more I read what Bendis has to say the more and more I'm getting nervous about the movie.

For those more interested or not.....

Does the GotG comic book version of Starlord look like Pratt?

I'd have to say that my guess would be that he was cast before the comic book Assemble was signed off on. Despite what people would have you know otherwise.....

Just the way it really works inside the circle.

Here's a pic of Starlord in Guardians #1

Here's another pic of Chris Pratt:

Aside from the hair, I think it's a close match.

Kids Didn't Comprehend Jim Starlin Cosmic Says Bendis

here were these other books that were just wild cards. Sometimes they went to[o] far, they were a little crazy and out there and probably too much for a lot of kids to comprehend or get through.

I think by the time Bendis and Loeb are through with cosmic we'll be sorry we ever wanted Marvel to give us more cosmic. Loeb's hack job on the Nova source material makes me sick and once Bendis has finished ripping off all the good old Englehart stories and starts writing original stuff, his "cosmic" will be along the lines of his last great "cosmic" adventure, Secret Invasion. I no longer buy any Marvel titles and I won't be buying Loeb's NINO and Bendis' Garbage of the Galaxy.

you can't read a Marvel book now w/o running into double-page ads and back-cover ads for Loeb's Nova and Bendis' GotG. Where was all this ad support from Marvel when DnA (and Giffen) were writing cosmic?

Marvel supports their golden boys don't they. Look at all the hype Bendis' Moon Knight revamp got. It went over like a lead balloon.

Of course, the first issues of NINO and Garbage of the Galaxy will be monster sellers because of all the hype and all the variant covers. Hell - guys buy variant covers of comics they don't even like just to have a rare issue of something to sell later on ebay at an inflated price to someone who is a fan of the book. But if a substantial number of us core cosmic readers boycott NINO and Garbage of the Galaxy, they'll fail. There's a very limited market of comics readers/buyers - around 100K or so would be my best guestimate. If the 30K who bought DnA's Nova and GotG consistently don't buy NINO - it pretty much fails because cosmic is a niche market and despite Loeb and Bedis doing hackjobs on the SF concepts DnA introduced to shoe-horn in as many hackneyed superhero concepts as possible to make cosmic "accessible" to the average comic reader; they're never going to capture the kind of readership numbers they want from the average comic reader who is stuck on Avengers, Wolverine, Deadpool, and X titles and who has only so much money to spend on comics. Without us they fail.

I've seen all the theories that if we support NINO, it'll pave the way for Rich to come back. WRONG! Just read Loeb's interview over at Novaprimepage. Rich is Mar-Vell dead guys. On his formspring page, Brevoort brushed off the Mar-Vell and Genis-Vell fans recently referring to the characters as "dull" and saying they won't come back as the most interesting thing about them was their deaths. I'm sure he feels exactly the same way about Rich Rider. Get used to it. Rich is not coming back as long as Brevoort, Alonso, Loeb, and Bendis have anything to do with cosmic. His best chance of coming back some time in the future is for NINO to fail miserably and for us to make it well known that NINO failed because we didn't like Loeb's hack job with the concepts and we refused to pay money for it.

I think the costumes look pretty good. I like the homage cover of Wolverine #1. This may come off as feminist, but I'm glad they are giving Gamora more clothes.

This stands to me as the greatest difference.

You say you want to support a book...then support it. DnA never got a fair shake. I don't see how you can say otherwise. Hell, they thrived despite the lack of advertisement.

Ridiculous.

And yes the new suits blow goats. I have proof.
