When B.M. Bendis was interviewed and was answering questions about Guardians of the Galaxy, he mentioned someone bouncing back and forth in time. Could he be talking about Richard? I read the article in Powers: Bureau.

Can anyone tell me how to use an android based phone and view the "extras." I downloaded the Marvel app and pointed the phone at the AR, but nothing happened. The only thing I was able to do successfully was download the digital copy of comics to my computer. But I have no idea what the additional features are.

Did you download the Marvel AR App?

You enable it and then scan the pages that have the red AR box.

There's a separate Marvel App for comics and stuff.

Thanks, I will give it a try. BUT...

We downloaded the App to my wife's phone. Is that the same as enabling it, is there something else we need to do? And do we scan it with the camera lens or with the front of the phone - the viewing area?

Yeah, you turn the App on and then it turns on your camera enabling you to scan the page.

Hold the phone steady and it will "recognize" the page and then show the exclusive content.

The sad thing is, Marvel's comic "architects" are involved in the movie productions. I used to think Marvel needed to be more involved with the creations of their movies. But now, these "architects" are too powerful.

I have never disliked Bendis. I enjoyed Powers. But he ended up being in control of a lot of Marvels comics and their direction. And that is how I feel about the "architects." They have too much creative power. I hope they do not force Sam on Gunn. I have no problem if they have Richard Rider and Sam in the Corps, but if Rich gets killed and Sam becomes the last Nova, I will be ticked.

It may well end up being Jesse Alexander that gets shown in the film! Even so just having the idea of the Nova Corps on screen is something to look forward too - and lets hope - irrespective of the current status - that all the rumors of James Gunn "gunning" for a Dna take on the GOTG are true. I just hope whatever we get is far better that the GL movie.

If the Nova Corps is in the movie, they'll probably just be used as cannon fodder (once again). So the Corps will be decimated at the start of the movie to show how much a bad ass Thanos is and only one will be left. That would be the typical cliche for the Corps. I hope its not the scenario envisioned by Stinger. That one makes me queasy. I'd almost rather not have the Corps in the movie at all.

You know, we need to be emailing Gunn about our antipathy about Sam Alexander and about the design of Sam's uniform. Maybe he'll see the potential in Rich and take on Annihilation as his next movie project. Where's that site where people are commenting to Gunn about GotG? What's the link?

One would hope that since Gunn is adamant about using DnA's GotG, then he'd be adamant about using Rich Rider as Nova instead of NINO.

Which is true. But I'd say that the movies are the driving force for Marvel books nowadays. And they are decidedly using older characters to branch out to all customers.

Which is the smart thing to do. While NINO may be for the comic book kids and newbies.... no one is going to be invested in them in a movie.

But Rich? Yes indeed. At worst, they are two different mediums. If anything, we should get Rich which would drive him back into books.

But of course....all speculation.

Remember - DnA's Nova and GotG also sold in that range for their first several issues and then there was attrition.

The typical Avengers, X, Wolverine fan isn't going to continue buying these books. If the core Cosmic followers like us continue to boycott, then expect NINO to be gone by Christmas. They'll keep GotG around in some form or another if for no other reason than the movie. It might get re-launched with someone other than Bendis though.

Yeah, similar to what happened with Avengers Assemble. Bendis left and Kelly Sue DeConnick came on.

It's funny, when CBR and Alonso mentioned a fill-in was coming on for an arc on GOTG, they didn't specifically state what issue. Had to assume 4, as the artist is doing the cover as well.

People will leave GoTG in droves if McNiven is gone.

A grain of truth about this rumor; if you head for the IMDB site and check out the updated Iron Man 3 cast; a young actor called Bridger Zadina is listed playing a character called "Richie". Now obviously the name means nowt to me in the UK; perhaps some of you know him. Checking his details he was born in 1994 so he'd fit the role of a younger Nova. Daz

There is no letter's page in Nova #2. Instead, they talk a little bit about Nova's direction, about a big story brewing. They mention the possibility of revisiting Richard Rider, which DnA

"left the fate of RR in doubt deep withing an intergalactic hellhole...which is something we may have to pick up on one of thes days (Hmmm...Hey, Loeb!)"

The second to the last paragraph gives a shout out to "Doug Smith and the gand at www.novaprimepage.com, for their longtime interest in one of Marvel's greatest characters. Mr. Wacker then says Bill Rosemann turned him onto the site.

Congrats to Doug and the gang. (I am part of that gang, right?)

I actually liked it. It was cool to see this kid get these powers and fly around town. I could imagine being a teenager...one of the first places I'd go if I knew I could fly would be to the moon! I'm 31 and I'd still fly to the moon. I'd probably be flying all around the globe.

Maybe it was Wacker giving some hope that Marvel will try to find Rich and shouting out Doug's nova prime page...

I wonder how long that letters page will last once they start getting some lengthy letters from timelord and others!!

I'm interested in seeing how this Nova will react when the Watcher reveals just how big this Nova thing is. Grasping the size and scope of the Annihilation Wave might be a lot to handle for this kid.

The whole premise is just dumb. Not plausible at all. Would rocket and Gamora be so irresponsible as to give an untrained boy a weapon of mass destruction and then just leave? Would rocket really just start shooting at an unarmed child in a hospital bed who posed no real threat to him? I realize this is high fantasy. That's part of my whole problem with NINO. But even as high fantasy it's completely stupid Not to mention clichéd.
