Love Deodato's art.

But Black Panther, Emma Frost, Ant-Man and the Punisher investigating the death of the Watcher?

Huh? lol.

"While the proper series starts off in May, a zero issue by Mark Waid and Jim Cheung will land in April to re-introduce readers to Uatu through the eyes of Nova, one of Marvel's youngest heroes."

There goes any interest I had in it. Even the wording angers me..like as if Richie never happened!

Yep. NINO in Marvel big event #2.

Rider: Zero.

Nice try, Brevoort.

They really are trying to shove NINO down everyone's throats.

Pathetic.

Yeah, like I mentioned on the NINO Thread: Marvel had Uatu befriend and take a liking to Sam so obviously NINO was going to be involved.

LOL, what if NINO was actually a Sleeper Agent for Mephisto or some other Cosmic Entity to catch Uatu off guard and trust Sam. That'd be some serious "Original Sin".

btw glad to have the real Nick Fury back for this ala Secret Avengers and am curious to flip through this series.

We need Black Panther and the Punisher to figure out who/how Uatu The Mother Scratchin' Watcher is killed?

What? The? Hell? Is wrong with Marvel?

I'm already flashing back to the Rogue Watcher "Journey Into Mystery" 4 parter in the old Quasar series here and thinking....that's how a Watcher is "Killed".

Should've known this was coming after Loeb had Rulk punch Watcher.
Ridiculous.

I'm seeing the Punisher here instead of ANYBODY THAT HAS BLUE AREA OF THE MOON EXPERIENCE!!!!!

I want to love you Cosmic Marvel. But I can't. You're too stupid that you might need to be put down. (for awhile)

Black Panther: Avengers/Melee
Emma Frost: X-Men/Tank (play Marvel Heroes if you don't believe me)
Ant-Man: Scientist/Summons
Punisher: Solo-Characters/Ranged

SPOILERS FOR ORIGINAL SIN #3:

Okay. So Ego the Living Planet is Dead. Who would have a reason to kill him?
Still sticking with Rich or at least Cancerverse version of Rich.

Also, in regards to Nick Fury getting decapitated (he's died before, LMD, whatever) by Bucky.....Cancerverse Bucky?

Could this be the Forever Evil of Marvel? Alternate Reality versions of heroes destroying cosmic monsters and beings for an invasion agenda from Thanos? All speculation, of course, but where was the last time Ego showed up? Was it Nova's book?

Read the book. I thought they said it was a planet LIKE Ego, but not necessarily Ego ( Ego was last in Nova vol. 4) . The Bucky thing really surprised me. Almost like he's under some sort of mind control or It's not really Bucky at all! (Skrull?) I don't think that he would have normally decapitated Fury like that, even with some horrible secret revealed to him.

Is Mysterio dead? could he be behind it or even capable of it? They've brought D-list villains into this thing like the Orb & Dr. Midas. Time they brought a higher caliber villain into it. I have to say that this book is very interesting so far, even when you think about how cheesy and strange that a being's eyes would hold data instead of the brain. And the fact that they've plugged his eyeball into a computer to try to read the data. I can't wait until next issue!

I love the idea but there is no way Mysterio is involved in this. He'll be tied up in a Sinister Six version for the movie coming out (fingers crossed!)

However, you're right. It's an "ego-like planet" , not Ego. I re-read it and jumped to the conclusion to fast. My bad.

However, it doesn't clear Rich. Also, this type of thing feels like it'll all be cleared up by the end of issue 4. Why would Bucky do that? Find out next issue when we pull the curtain back- one issue later. Also real Nick Fury is the the shadowy guy from issue 1 and we'll reveal that , too!

Anyway, you get the gist.

Mysterio,

Sorry if I sounded like I was being a smart a** and telling you to read the book. I meant that I read the book. Yea I'm sure we'll get answers next issue.

I said Mysterio because I was reading up more about him in Wikipedia and the most recent Mysterio (Francis Klum) has the following powers.

Quote:
Francis Klum is a mutant with the ability to control people's bodies to do anything he wants them to without actually controlling their minds. He is also a long-range teleporter who can teleport his body to other locations, as well as other objects to and from his present location.
Seems like the Teleportation thing fits, and how Bucky could possibly kill Fury without being able to stop. Fun to speculate.

Okay, let's clarify things....

Never took it that way from you, MBond. All good! I'm happy to think all things Mysterio would only benefit every story ever told by Marvel (including Cosmic). Secondly, when you Mysterio I don't ever think Francis (Kevin Smith smoked a lot of dope that day) Klum. Always Quentin Beck, accept no substitutes.

While we do have some oddball villians so far in it (Orb, Extermanatrix, and Thing-like Dr. Midas), I'm sure the main villian (or ex-hero!) will be a mainstream recognizable name. They're not going to pull that one out of left field, for sure.

I'll say this: So far, while leafing/reading thru it at my LCS, I've enjoyed it, mostly. First time for a Marvel event in a loooooooooooong time. Will I reward them with dollars? No. Not going to happen until I see a shift in cosmic philosophy.
